About Teddy:
With a passion for telling impactful stories, I’ve had the privilege of covering some of the world’s biggest sporting events, including the Olympics, Paralympics, Commonwealth Games, and more. Reporting for the International Paralympic Committee from Tokyo during the 2021 Paralympics, I’ve been a national reporter for over two decades, with experience spanning the Olympics (1992-2012), the Soccer World Cup, the Stanley Cup, and beyond.
As an award-winning journalist, my work, including the acclaimed Black Ice, has earned recognition such as the B'Nai Brith Media Human Rights Award and a New York Festivals Radio Award nomination. I was also honored with the 2004 Canadian Journalism Fellowship at Massey College.
In addition to my reporting, I served as the chief spokesperson and senior communications executive for the Toronto 2015 Pan and Parapan American Games, leading media relations efforts for one of Canada’s largest sporting events. Today, I host and produce The Resiliency Project podcast and am writing a book that aims to transform how we view “Abilities.” I also contribute a monthly column for CBC, providing insights and profiles on athletes and issues surrounding the Tokyo 2020 Paralympics.
